Telco Systems Wins 2015 NFV Pioneer Award

CloudMetro 100 Distributed NFV Platform, recognized for exceptional innovation, will be displayed at the L123 NFV World Congress

MANSFIELD, MA, April 29, 2015 — Telco Systems, the leading provider of innovative SDN & NFV and multi-service Carrier Ethernet 2.0 and MPLS edge solutions, today announced the company has won the 2015 NFV Pioneer Award from Internet Telephony.

The NFV Pioneer Award is an annual recognition that honors companies and products that have demonstrated innovation, unique features, and noteworthy developments toward improving Network Functions Virtualization.

Telco Systems received this award recognition for its CloudMetro 100 solution, the first 10GE Distributed NFV platform for virtualized IT services at the network edge. CloudMetro 100 provides a carrier-grade platform that enables service providers to transform their networks from mere transport to full IT-enabled networks – highly orchestrated, agile and virtualized. CloudMetro 100 supports Distributed Network Functions Virtualization (D-NFV), enabling telecom network operators to run TelcoApps™ VNFs to provide multi-services in addition to connectivity services.

“We are pleased to receive this award in recognition for the breakthrough that CloudMetro 100 provides to telecom service providers who are looking for the best way to support their Carrier Ethernet operation as they introduce NFV,” stated Moshe Shimon, Telco Systems’ Vice President of Product Line Management and Marketing. “The solution is already finding its way into many networks that need a carrier-grade, risk-free path to SDN and NFV.”

Telco Systems will be demonstrating CloudMetro 100 and TelcoApps VNFs at the L123 NFV World Congress on May 5-7, San Jose, Booth #13. Visitors will also be able to hear Telco Systems speak on “Infrastructure Applications in the NFV Era” on Friday, May 8th. In addition, Rami Yaron, VP of Strategy & Business Development and Co-Chair of the MEF Global Marketing Committee, will be participating in two MEF sessions on Friday, May 8th.
